How you can Help

Donate

Vets In The Wild is a registered non-profit Delaware corporation in the USA. We are in the process of obtaining official 501 c3 status. All donations are tax deductible! Any donations are greatly appreciated and budget reports and requests to donate for specific project is available upon request. Any medical products and equipment are also very much needed (even expired Pharmaceutical products!)

Adoptions

If you are interested - or someone you know may be interested - in adopting an animal at our Cikananga, Java center to support its care, please contact us.  We would love to send you a list of animals currently available for adoption.

Whole enclosures can be donated as well, and your company or personal name can be imprinted on them.  Whenever a new animal arrives there are opportunities to name him or her.  Updates on new arrivals will be posted on this website.

If you do decide to support us with one of these options you will receive monthly updates on the animals you are directly supporting.

Volunteering

Currently we are focusing on our volunteer project in Java, at the Cikananga Wildlife Center. We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers, no matter what your qualifications.

Dependent on your qualifications and experience, our days usually consists of working with the  animal keepers to help feed and clean the animals enclosures and make enrichment. If you are interested in the veterinary aspect of the center more time can be taken shadowing the vet in her daily duties. Please be aware that everyone (including the vet) helps clean and feed the animals, the care of our wildlife is always our main focus.

Please note that all work at Cikananga includes hard physical labour and long hours on some days, if you have physical limitations, please let us know so we can advise you as to where your volunteer experience will be most needed.

Please contact Wanicare at: info@wanicare.com for more information about accommodation, food, and prices.
